Printing:
What can I print?
You can print anything you need from postal labels and documents to projects and images.
How can I print?
You can simply email the document to: print.colour@pcg.ie (colour printing) or print.bw@pcg.ie (B/W printing). You can also scan the QR code to upload your documents to the web app. See videos here.
What email address do I send the documents to?
To print in B&W: print.bw@pcg.ie
To print in Colour: print.colour@pcg.ie
How to print using email:
What is the next step after sending the documents?
You will receive a release code by email if documents were sent to one of the email addresses or it will be available on the web app if QR code was scanned.
Is there a limit on how many pages can be printed?
There is no limit as such however we have a recommendation of 50 pages per code to avoid any technical issues or print failures.
How can I pay for my prints?
You can complete payments using card & contactless or coins. Cash payment is available in some locations.
What to do if I do not get my prints after payment?
Not to worry, just call our support line on: 1800 818 989 or email us on: support@surfbox.ie
How can I make multiple copies of my prints?
After scanning the QR code to our web app you can adjust the documents properties such as number of copies or you could print one copy and then proceed to photocopy.
How to Photocopy a document:
Can I preview my pages before printing?
Yes, there is an option to preview the pages before printing them.
How can I print 2-sided?
You could scan the QR code to our web app and upload the document, from there you would have options to make these changes. Alternatively, public library PCs would also have these options when generating the code.
What do I do if my pages print blank?
You can call our support line on 1800 818 989 or email us at support@surfbox.ie and we will guide you further. If it is out of business hours, we will arrange a refund on the next working day.
Does anyone have access to personal / sensitive documents sent to print?
No, we have our data protection policy in place as per the law and no one would be able to download or access the documents. However, our support team would be able to view it with your permission to alleviate any issues.

Can I make photocopies?
Yes, you can make photocopies.
How to photocopy a document:
Is there a limit on number of copies?
There is a limit of 25 pages at a time.
How can I copy multiple pages quickly?
You can copy multiple pages by placing them in the feeder above the printer.
How to photocopy documents using the ADF scanner:
How do I place the documents on the feeder?
The documents have to be placed in the feeder with the text facing upwards.
Can I photocopy 2 sides of an ID card on 1 page?
Unfortunately, we don’t have this option yet, we are working to provide this feature soon.
Can I make a 2-sided copy?
Yes, you have the option to make 2-sided copies.
Scanning:
Can I send the scanned documents to any email address?
Yes, you can send the scanned copies to any email address.
How to send scanned documents to email:
Is there a limit on the number of pages you can scan to email?
Yes, there is a limit of 25 pages.
What format will I receive the scanned documents in?
All scanned documents are sent in PDF format.
Are any of the scanned documents stored?
As per our data protection policy all documents are deleted from the system after 72 hours. Only our support team can access the documents with user permission if an issue arises.
What to do if I entered an incorrect email address?
You may email our support line at support@surfbox.ie or call 1800 818 989 and they will help you get the documents.
What if I do not receive the documents in my email?
Check if documents are in spam or junk folders. If not, then you can contact our team on 1800 818 989 or support@surfbox.ie.

Where do I enter the release code?
Use the kiosk to select the following options:
Start>Print>Release code>Enter the release code>Finish>Complete payment.
What do I do if my document jams?
It is best to contact staff at the front desk or to call our support line on 1800 818 989 or email support@surfbox.ie and our team will guide you further.
What to do if I do not get a response on call or email?
Do not worry, we respond to every voicemail and email during office hours.
Do you store any data relating to the copies we make?
No, once the copies are printed, they are removed from the system.
